For exhibition at the Del Mar Fair, we should have a huge poster or banner that introduces our project. We should have stations for each VR, like tables, chairs, and a poster for that video. Also before we show our guests the videos, maybe have two students explain to them about virtual reality, how it became so popular, and the pros and cons of Virtual Reality (Homework Virtual Reality Articles).
John Dewey Thinking In Education Response- Reading Dewey's Ideas, sparked a lot of information for me. His ideas are very similar to the way High Tech High teaches us. In his reading he was reflecting, how in schools they should be taught or reflect on real life situations, and High Tech High does the exact same thing. In our projects we deal with real-life situations and problems that we incorporate into our projects. Like the Virtual Reality Project. The entire project is based on how we would adapt in the real world. We have to, not necessarily pretend, but we are witnessing what it's like to have a real job. Also showing us how much money we make and how to budget your money for multiple jobs. In real life, I think Dewey's ideas could also be implemented more in traditional school settings. Also it can be implemented for people who don't have this mentally. In the reading he stated how it's not only great to be educated, but it's great to be truly knowledgeable on a topic, and actually enjoy doing it. Pink's Argument- In his video, it basically talked about the values of being motivated and how it's important to have mastery or autonomy to be successful. I think life a lot of the times, people go towards more of mastery when they are motivated. For me personally I want to be motivated and do something that I love, not what comes with it (like money or something more valuable). In school settings they should focus and listen to students, and what exactly they love to do. Teachers should less force students on a topic they don't want to do. Even if that topic or subject is required.

This week and also last week, I have had a couple of celebrations in this project. So far I'm at the level where I need to be (for money). So I'm pretty happy about that. Another celebration is that, I finally finished my 1st video for my project. It was really stressful at first, doing the editing and working with the program Adobe Premiere CS6. I never used the program before so it was very challenging for me at first to do it. But overtime, I am more experienced with it, and it's actually kinda fun to do. During this project, there were a few times that I've had dealt with cognitive dissonance. But one example would have to be, when I was following a tutorial, on how to export my video. I was following all of the steps, but I was still wasn't able to export. For me it was very frustrating, because I was following all of the steps, but I wasn't still able to produce the final video.
English: Last week, and this week, we have been studying and investigating hashtag activism. My opinion on hashtag activism, is that I believe it works. A great example of this, would be #BlackLivesMatter. This movement began, with a hashtag. So I feel that activism on the internet does work. But the only problem with this is, that people may think that educated on a certain topic. So that person will express their opinion, and have no type of knowledge on the topic. So to me, that is the only negative side of hashtag activism. But other than that, I feel that it works very well. Engineering: This is the third week being a specialist for my project. Last week I was an actor working in Brigitte's video. Her video was focusing on experiencing the feeling of having social anxiety. It was a really cool project to be apart of, and I’m glad I had the chance to be involved. This week and also next week, I am a video editor for Emilio's video. His VR is a tour of San Diego. Experiencing the different areas around San Diego. I am responsible for editing all of the footage into Adobe Premiere CS6. At first it was very challenging to do because, I never had experience with that program. But overtime, and looking at tutorials, I’m more experienced with the program. And it’s actually fun to edit. During these weeks, I will keep continuing on editing, and maybe even created my own video in professional development. So I can make sure that I have a “A”, by the end of this project. English: In these last couple of weeks, we have been studying the different types of journalism, and how each is effective into our daily news today. But also how VR is going to be the new type of journalism very soon We’ve also been looking at how the news constantly creates stories, or delivers world events as entertainment. An example of this, would be the presidential election. Since the beginning of the election, it is been treated as entertainment, with the different scandals, stories, etc. Instead they need to focus on presenting the politics issues from both candidates. Down below are some pictures of editing on Adobe Premiere CS6: Doing this project for the last few weeks, it has been going okay for me. During the first week it was very stressful, for me to find a project to work on. But overtime, I finally found a couple of projects to work on Hooray!!! For me what is working is getting extra practice on my personal job skill, which is editing. Some things that I am worry about is, not being able to make enough money in the end of the project. For future solutions, I am hoping that we get graded also on how much quality we put in into that project. While I am working on a project, some things that get me staying on task is listening to music, working with people that don't get me distracted. In English class, we have been looking at readings on the power of influence. For me I feel that people who are in power, should be careful with what they say. Because if a person in power say's something, but if one person takes it the wrong way. It can be very bad for that person in power.
